Aston Bay Releases Mineral Resource Estimate for Storm Copper Project
Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. has unveiled its Initial Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for the Storm Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada. The estimate focuses on near-surface mineralization within six deposits: Cyclone, Chinook, Corona, Cirrus, Lightning Ridge, and Thunder. The MRE highlights indicated resources of 8.2 million tonnes at 1.47% copper and 4.5 g/t silver. The inferred resources include 3.3 million tonnes at 1.30% copper and 3.1 g/t silver.
The project shows potential for low-cost development through open-pit mining, comprising of 100% chalcocite-dominant copper sulfide. With additional growth prospects, all six deposits remain open for expansion. Recent discoveries include Cyclone Deeps and new high-grade areas like The Gap, Squall, and Hailstorm.
Exploration opportunities exist with only 5% of the 110 km copper belt explored. The report, prepared independently for Aston Bay, will be filed within 45 days in line with NI 43-101 standards.
