Athena Gold Targets New Prospects at Laird Lake

Athena Gold Corporation identified promising geophysical targets at Laird Lake in Ontario's Red Lake Gold District. Analysis of historical geophysics revealed six electromagnetic anomalies, complementing recent geochemical findings. The company mobilized a field crew to refine targets for a winter drilling campaign.

In 2017, a SkyTEM survey indicated six geophysical anomalies within 300 meters of Laird Lake. Notably, the G1 anomaly suggests potential gold in a banded iron formation. The G6 anomaly, intersected in 2016, presented a sulphide-rich mafic unit with relevant gold values.

Athena has expanded the Laird Lake project to 7,457 hectares, strategically located close to major mining sites. The upcoming winter drilling will target both geophysical and geochemical anomalies, aiming to confirm substantial gold mineralization.
