AUSTRIACARD HOLDINGS AG Announces Executive Leadership Changes

On March 20, 2024, AUSTRIACARD HOLDINGS AG disclosed the resignation of Panagiotis Spyropoulos as the Group Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of the management board. Following a previously outlined succession plan dated December 20, 2023, Emmanouil Kontos assumes the roles vacated by Spyropoulos, effective immediately.

Kontos, originating from Australia and born in 1971, contributes a wealth of knowledge and over 25 years of global leadership expertise to his new position. Before his promotion, Kontos served as the Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer of AUSTRIACARD HOLDINGS AG. His background includes significant roles across diverse markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and South East Asia, with leading organizations such as Colgate Palmolive and Coca-Cola Hellenic. Kontos joined AUSTRIACARD in 2018, bringing with him extensive experience in the fields of economics, business administration, and managerial leadership.
