Austria's "Breaking Grounds - Social Change through Sport" Honored by UNAOC-BMW Hub

"Breaking Grounds - Social Change through Sport," an initiative in Austria, has been recognized by the UNAOC-BMW Group's Intercultural Innovation Hub. The recognition took place during the 10th UNAOC Global Forum in Cascais, Portugal. The Forum aimed to reflect on two decades of dialogue for humanity, bringing together world leaders and civil society figures.

The initiative, "Kicken ohne Grenzen - Empowering Youth Through Football," uses football to unite young refugees, fostering inclusion and diversity. It organizes over 500 activities promoting social integration and youth empowerment. By training youth leaders, it aims to inspire a new generation to enact positive change in their communities.

The project will receive a financial grant and one year of mentorship and support to enhance its impact. This collaboration between UNAOC, BMW Group, and Accenture highlights the potential of combining public and private sector expertise for societal benefit.
