Auto-suisse’s expectations to support electric mobility
At its annual press conference, auto-suisse set out its expectations for Swiss policy to successfully transition to CO2-neutral propulsion vehicles. Despite last year's good results on CO2 targets, the association highlights remaining challenges, including the need to create favorable conditions.
Proposals include forgoing costly regulations, relaxing interim CO2 targets, and promoting opening-up technology in legislation. They are also calling for a five-year tax break on electric vehicles to encourage consumers.
Auto-suisse also calls for incentives for private charging infrastructure and more favorable and transparent electricity prices. They demand flexibility in the CO2 emissions reduction trajectory to adapt to the market.
