Avation PLC Announces New Airline Customer
Avation PLC (LSE: AVAP), the commercial passenger aircraft leasing company, has announced a new partnership with Japanese startup airline JCAS Airways. This deal was highlighted during the Farnborough Air Show. JCAS Airways will lease an ATR 72-600, marking a significant milestone for the company.
The aircraft is part of a recent order of 10 ATR 72-600s by Avation, placed in May. The lease agreement signifies the dynamic nature of the regional market and the attraction of ATR aircraft. The delivery is scheduled for the end of 2025, with initial routes connecting Kansai to Toyama and Yonago.
JCAS Airways' CEO, Seiji Shirane, emphasizes the importance of this achievement for the launch of their operations. The airline aims to enhance regional connectivity and support local communities. Avation's Executive Chairman, Jeff Chatfield, commended JCAS Airways' choice, highlighting the sustainability and efficiency of the ATR 72-600.
