Averlon Secures $10M in Funding to Enhance AI-Powered Cloud Security

REDMOND, WA / ACCESSWIRE / May 23, 2024 - Averlon, a cloud security company co-founded by Salesforce and Microsoft Security veterans, has exited stealth mode with $8 million in seed funding. This brings their total funding to $10.5 million. Leading the round is Voyager Capital, with support from Salesforce Ventures and Outpost Ventures, among others.

Co-Founder and CEO Sunil Gottumukkala, formerly SVP of Cybersecurity at Salesforce, highlighted the urgency for robust cloud security. "Most CISOs aren't prepared for today's threats," he stated, noting the reactive nature of current security postures overwhelmed by daily alerts.

Averlon's AI-driven platform aims to alleviate these challenges by providing a comprehensive approach to understanding, predicting, and preventing cloud security attacks. Rinki Sethi, CISO of BILL, endorsed the platform for its capability to think like attackers, offering a clear picture of security risks in minutes.

The platform's panoptic visibility and continuous risk analysis enable rapid and precise attack prevention. Vishal Agarwal, CTO and Co-Founder, emphasized its seamless integration with existing security environments, enhancing attack chain analysis and remediation efforts.

Amid growing AI-driven cyber threats, Averlon's technology offers a proactive solution, helping enterprises effectively manage and prioritize risks.
