Avolta and Ecoalf Partner for Sustainable Uniforms in Spanish Airports
Avolta, a leader in travel retail, has announced a partnership with Ecoalf, a sustainable fashion brand and Spain's first B Corporation certified company, to produce uniforms from recycled materials. These uniforms will be used in duty-free stores across airports in Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, and Mahón. This initiative falls under Avolta's sustainability strategy in Spain, aiming to promote sustainable travel experiences while supporting local communities and protecting the environment.
The uniforms are constructed from recycled and low-impact materials, resulting in an impressive saving of 3,210,000 liters of water and reducing carbon emissions by 12,100 kg of CO2 equivalent. The collection is accredited with international certifications such as PETA Vegan Approved, Global Recycled Standard, and Organic 100 Content Standard.
Ángeles Montesdeoca, General Manager of Avolta Spain, expressed that the uniforms reflect Avolta's dedication to responsible business practices. Ecoalf emphasized their commitment to sustainability and innovation, noting pride in partnering with organizations like Avolta that share their vision.
