Avolta Secures 9-Year Deal for Expansion at Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport

Avolta AG has successfully secured a significant nine-year contract to manage 26 food & beverage (F&B) locations at Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, marking an extensive expansion of its operational footprint in Türkiye. The deal includes the renewal of 22 existing F&B outlets and the introduction of four new ones, enhancing the company's long-standing relationship with the airport's owning entity, Malaysia Airports' Turkish asset.

Luis Marin, Avolta's President and CEO for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, emphasized the company's dedication to providing comprehensive travel and dining services, highlighting the integration of technology such as pre-ordering systems and a QR-based ordering platform to improve the traveler's dining experience. Furthermore, Avolta plans to blend global and local flavors across its portfolio, including internationally recognized brands and local favorites, enriching the gastronomic landscape of the airport.

The expansion is a critical component of Avolta's Destination 2027 strategy, aiming to enhance travel experiences through innovative dining and retail solutions. The introduction of unique F&B concepts, including collaborations with local producers and bespoke hybrid models that combine dining with retail, underscore Avolta's commitment to the evolution of airport hospitality services. This contract not only solidifies Avolta's presence in Türkiye but also sets a precedent for future travel retail and F&B integrations.
