Axel Stepken to Join GEA Group's Supervisory Board

GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft announced on March 15, 2024, that Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Stepken, currently CEO of TÜV SÜD Stiftung, has been nominated to join the Supervisory Board. The shareholders will vote on his election at the Annual General Meeting scheduled for April 30, 2024. If elected, Stepken will also serve on the Supervisory Board’s Presiding and Sustainability Committee. Stepken brings over two decades of experience with TÜV SÜD AG and holds a doctorate from RWTH Aachen University. He has previously held several managerial positions at ABB.

Stepken is set to replace Dr. Jens Riedl, an Investment Partner at Groupe Bruxelles Lambert, who will leave the board after the Annual General Meeting. The Chairman of GEA Group's Supervisory Board, Professor Dieter Kempf, welcomed Stepken, emphasizing his international expertise and knowledge of the Asian market. The board also expressed gratitude towards Jens Riedl for his exceptional service.
