Baillie Gifford & Co. Statement of Intent Regarding SOITEC
On August 27, 2024, SOITEC published a declaration of intent pursuant to Article L. 233-7 of the French Commercial Code. This declaration concerns the acquisition of securities by Baillie Gifford & Co.
Baillie Gifford & Co., an Edinburgh-based investment manager, said the acquisition of SOITEC shares was part of its normal portfolio management business. It said it did not intend to implement any particular strategy in relation to SOITEC or to exercise any influence over its management.
The company also indicated that it is not acting in concert with a third party and does not seek to take control of SOITEC. Baillie Gifford & Co. also does not intend to seek appointments to the board of directors or supervisory board.
