Banyan Gold Corp. Achieves 93% Recovery Rate in Metallurgical Tests at AurMac Project

Banyan Gold Corp. has reported significant progress in its ongoing metallurgical test programs for the AurMac Project located in the Yukon Territory. Tests on the Powerline and Airstrip deposits, which host 7.0 million ounces of gold in inferred resources, have shown high gold recovery rates using conventional mill processing methods.

The results highlight a 93% gold recovery rate for the Powerline Deposit and 90% for the Airstrip Deposit, utilizing gravity separation and whole ore leaching (CIL/CIP) at a grind size of 75 microns. Additionally, non-acid generating characteristics and excess buffering capacity were observed in the deposits, which is advantageous for future permitting and waste management.

President and CEO Tara Christie emphasized the importance of these findings, noting that further optimizations could lead to even higher recoveries. The ongoing work aims to refine the mill flow sheets to bolster future economic studies slated for 2025. The next steps include more metallurgical testing to focus on optimizing grind sizes, flotation times, and leaching methodologies.
