Banyan Gold Corp Strengthens Board with New Appointees
Banyan Gold Corp., a leading miner listed on TSX-Venture and OTCQB, has announced significant changes to its Board of Directors. Hayley Halsall-Whitney joins as a new member, while Marc Blythe takes on the role of non-executive Chair.
President & CEO Tara Christie welcomed Ms. Halsall-Whitney, highlighting her extensive 20-year mining background that spans roles at Glencore, Goldcorp, and Wesdome. Her expertise is expected to elevate the board's capabilities as Banyan advances its AurMac, Nitra, and Hyland projects.
Marc Blythe, already a board member since February 2022, steps in as non-executive Chair. Blythe emphasized his commitment to maintaining high standards of corporate governance while advancing the AurMac Gold Project, highlighting the potential for significant shareholder value creation.
The company also detailed operational adjustments due to ongoing Yukon wildfires, including reduced drilling activities and community support measures. Despite these challenges, Banyan plans to complete a 20,000-meter drilling program by November 2024.
