Banyan Gold Initiates 30,000 Metre Drill Program at AurMac Project
Banyan Gold Corp has commenced a 30,000 metre diamond drilling program at their AurMac Project in Yukon. The initiative focuses on expanding and defining zones in Airstrip and Powerline deposits and testing targets identified through previous surveys. The project anticipates further exploration of high-grade intersections from 2024. Notable findings included 15.9 m of 9.32 g/t gold at Airstrip and 23.1 m of 5.68 g/t gold at Powerline.
This extensive campaign allocates approximately 75% of drilling to better understand the mineralized zones in Airstrip and Powerline, which hold inferred resources of 845,000 and 6,158,000 ounces respectively. The program also includes testing new regional targets, with part of the effort aimed at condemning holes for potential infrastructure locations.
Complementary activities will include surface sampling, metallurgical work, and environmental surveys, targeting a preliminary economic assessment by late 2025. These efforts follow the successful groundwork laid by Banyan's previous campaigns and aim to bolster the potential expansion of the AurMac Project.
