Geotechnical Drilling Commences at Central Gawler Mill

Barton Gold Holdings Limited has announced the start of geotechnical drilling at its South Australian Challenger Gold Project. This marks the beginning of the company's Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for Stage 1 production. The program involves sonic drilling holes, Cone Penetration Testing, and push tube density testing to gather data for mine design and cost estimation.

The drilling is expected to last three weeks, providing insights into the tailings materials and informing the Stage 1 DFS. This initiative is part of a broader effort to restart operations at the Central Gawler Mill, funded by a $15 million placement led by Franklin Templeton.

Managing Director Alexander Scanlon highlighted the importance of this step in advancing Barton Gold's goal to become South Australia's largest independent gold producer. The company is leveraging its fully permitted facilities to foster growth and production.
