New Assay Results from Barton Gold's Challenger Drilling
Barton Gold Holdings Limited announced promising assay results from its Challenger Gold Project in South Australia. The drilling campaign, covering 8,065 meters, focused on several targets, including the Challenger Main, West pits, and Challenger South-Southwest (CSSW) and Challenger 3. New assays confirm significant mineralization at CSSW and Challenger 3, presenting potential for a new JORC Mineral Resource Estimate.
Notable drill results include CHB0222 with 7 meters at 3.28 g/t Au and an interval showing 16.5 g/t Au. High-grade intervals were also found in the Main and Challenger West open pit regions, with concentrations reaching up to 170 g/t Au.
Simultaneously, a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) is in progress to evaluate a Stage 1 operation. This aims to leverage historical high-grade tailings without affecting existing underground resources. These developments are anticipated to support sustainable operational resumption and development prospects for Barton's other projects in the region.
