Basler AG's 2024 Performance Aligns with Forecast Amid Market Challenges

Basler AG, a leader in image processing components, announced its preliminary financial results for 2024, meeting its revised forecast. The company reported a 10% decline in sales reaching €183.7 million, compared to €203.1 million in 2023. However, incoming orders increased by 15% to €192.4 million, indicating potential future growth.
Despite positive free cash flow of €1.4 million, Basler reported a pre-tax loss of €12.0 million, an improvement from the previous year's €20.2 million loss. The company attributed this outcome to a weak market environment, particularly in the robotics and automation sectors, and unforeseen setbacks in business performance during the third quarter.
In response to 2024's challenges, the management proposed suspending dividend payments for the second consecutive year to conserve liquidity and improve resilience. The focus remains on reducing costs and adjusting the break-even point to strengthen financial stability for 2025.
