Bastei Lübbe AG Launches New 'pola' Publishing Imprint Focused on Women's Stories

Bastei Lübbe AG, a prime listed publishing group on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, is set to launch a new imprint titled 'pola' in the autumn of 2024. The new brand focuses on narratives that provide a truthful representation of young women's lives.

The CEO of Bastei Lübbe AG, Soheil Dastyari, emphasized that this initiative follows their successful strategy of innovation in community-driven publishing. 'pola' joins other imprints such as One, LYX, and Community Editions in their portfolio. The program will debut with six titles ranging across fiction and non-fiction, starting with two novels in September.

Simon Decot, the Program Director, shared that 'pola' aims to cover a wide spectrum of life experiences reflecting both harsh and joyful realities. Alongside the book releases, 'pola' plans to engage readers through their Instagram channel @pola_stories and the book club #PolaReads, enhancing community interaction and discussion on relevant themes.

In addition to launching 'pola', Bastei Lübbe AG realigned leadership roles to nurture the growth of their fiction sector, promoting Ruža Kelava to oversee the Lübbe brand along with Marco Schneiders.
