Bechtle AG's Q1 Earnings Fall Short, Yearly Forecast Maintained

Bechtle AG has reported its first-quarter earnings for 2025, which have significantly underperformed market expectations. Despite considerable challenges, the company has affirmed its full-year forecast, attributing the decline in earnings mainly to increased personnel costs and reduced bonuses from manufacturing partners. The preliminary figures show a year-on-year drop in earnings before taxes to €55 million, down from €82 million in the previous year, with revenues declining by 3% to approximately €1,460 million.
The financial strain comes as personnel costs surged due to 2024 acquisitions and non-wage labor cost increases, although cost growth has slowed compared to the last quarter of 2024. The company anticipates a recovery in the latter half of 2025, driven by increased demand from public-sector clients and a high volume of framework agreements expected to convert into orders.
Bechtle will release its comprehensive statement with finalized figures on May 9, 2025.
