BeMetals Initiates Drilling at Pangeni Copper Project, Zambia
BeMetals Corp has announced the start of a new core drilling program at its Pangeni Copper Project in Zambia. The program will span 2,000 to 2,500 meters, aiming to discover more copper zones and expand the mineralized areas in the D-Prospect. Previous drilling results show significant copper findings, comparable to Lumwana Mine's deposits.
The location of Pangeni presents promising potential due to its position within the Zambian Copperbelt, a major copper-producing region. The area remains largely unexplored beneath thin Kalahari sand, offering scope for further discoveries. The 2024 drill campaign identified multiple mineralized zones, suggesting a large-scale system.
Plans are in place to test extensions and explore satellite targets. Geophysical and geochemical analyses suggest further exploration possibilities. John Wilton, CEO of BeMetals, expressed optimism regarding Pangeni's potential to develop into a major discovery.
