Berentzen-Gruppe Reports Growth in Profitability in Q1/2024 Despite Market Challenges
Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft has reported a rise in earnings for Q1/2024, despite facing a challenging market. The company announced a 33% increase in consolidated EBIT to EUR 1.3 million, up from EUR 1.0 million the previous year. However, overall revenues saw a slight decline to EUR 40.9 million from EUR 41.8 million in Q1/2023.
CEO Oliver Schwegmann highlighted that, despite inflation-induced consumer caution, there was revenue growth in core brands Berentzen and Mio Mio due to successful liqueur sales. He noted an early recovery in the sales markets by March. Challenges included ceased partnerships in the Non-alcoholic Beverages sector and unexecuted marketing campaigns due to pricing conflicts, impacting revenues.
Nevertheless, the key financial metrics like consolidated EBITDA saw a 17.5% increase to EUR 3.4 million. Schwegmann reaffirmed the company's annual forecast, expecting significant growth within main performance indicators, projecting consolidated revenues of EUR 190.0 to 200.0 million for 2024.
