Berlin Climate-Tech Startup eco.mio Secures Seven-Figure Seed Funding
Berlin-based startup eco.mio, founded by Katharina Riederer, Mario Blatter, and Sarah Benarey, has successfully completed a low seven-figure seed funding round. The funding aims to help the company expand beyond Germany and diversify its product offerings. The round was led by IBB Ventures, identity.vc, and the Hans(wo)men Group, with additional support from N&V Capital, Partners in Clime, Robert Jacobi, Alfred Luger, Volker Rofalski, Patrick Diemer, Lea-Sophie Cramer, and Nicole Büttner.
eco.mio integrates modern technologies and sustainability strategies into traditional corporate booking systems like Cytric and SAP Concur, thus expanding its user base to 40,000 and reducing clients' CO2 emissions by 26%. New EU regulations requiring CO2 footprint disclosures make eco.mio's solutions critical for businesses.
The fresh capital will be used to expand eco.mio's international presence and introduce new applications for hotels and rental cars. The company has built partnerships with major providers including Cytric by Amadeus, Lufthansa City Center, and Deutsche Bahn. Clients like Roland Berger and Kearney are already benefiting from eco.mio's platform.
