BioLargo Ends Pooph Licensing Agreement Over Payment Dispute
BioLargo, Inc., a cleantech company, has ended its licensing agreement with Pooph, Inc. after Pooph failed to fulfill contractual obligations, leading to an outstanding payment of $3.8 million. Consequently, Pooph is no longer authorized to market or sell products using BioLargo’s technologies.
Previously, Pooph's success as a consumer brand was significantly attributed to BioLargo's proprietary technologies, helping generate over $50 million in annual sales. Despite the termination, BioLargo continues to focus on expanding its technology portfolio, aiming to offer sustainable solutions in various sectors, including infection control and odor management.
CEO Dennis P. Calvert expressed confidence in BioLargo's ongoing prospects, emphasizing the company's dedication to its stakeholders and commitment to maintaining the integrity of its technological innovations.
