BlackBerry and Partners Expand Cybersecurity Training in Malaysia
BlackBerry Limited, in partnership with Global Affairs Canada and Toronto Metropolitan University's Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, has announced the expansion of its CLIC (Certifications for Leadership in Cybersecurity) program to Malaysia. This marks the program's first global introduction, launching at the Malaysia Cybersecurity Center of Excellence with courses starting in November. This initiative is part of Canada's $3.9 million multi-year investment to bolster cybersecurity expertise in Southeast Asia, under the Indo-Pacific Strategy.
The program is designed to provide learners with essential cybersecurity skills through flexible online learning, with the support of BlackBerry and SANS Institute. It offers a unique opportunity for Malaysians to access high-quality, subsidized training, addressing the regional cybersecurity skills shortage. Participants will earn global certifications, enhancing their career prospects in the digital economy.
