BlackRock crosses the threshold of 5% of voting rights at Société Générale
On August 8, 2024, BlackRock, Inc. crossed the threshold of 5% of Société Générale's voting rights. By letter received on August 9, 2024, the American company informed the AMF of this crossing. BlackRock now holds 45,301,332 Société Générale shares, or 5.58% of the capital and 5.04% of the voting rights.
This threshold crossing results from an acquisition of shares on the market and an increase in the number of shares held as collateral. BlackRock acts on behalf of clients and funds under its management.
These shares include 3,016,890 ADRs, 164,373 shares assimilated via “contracts for differences”, 323,025 shares in loan-borrowing and 2,643,052 shares as collateral. In addition, BlackRock holds 5,636,187 shares for clients who retain voting rights.
