BlackRock Crosses Threshold at Societe Generale
BlackRock, Inc., a New York-based fund manager, recently reduced its stake in Société Générale to a significant level. On October 11, 2024, BlackRock reduced its holding to 4.89% of Société Générale’s voting rights, below the 5% threshold. This reduction is the result of a reduction in the number of shares held as collateral.
Prior to this change, BlackRock held 43,374,680 shares, representing 5.42% of Societe Generale's capital. However, in terms of voting rights, the stake remains below 5%, marking a notable shift in their investment portfolio managed on behalf of their clients and funds.
