BlackRock Crosses Threshold at Societe Generale
On September 12, 2024, Société Générale received a threshold crossing declaration from BlackRock, Inc. According to this declaration, BlackRock crossed the threshold of 5% of Société Générale's voting rights on September 10, 2024. This new position represents 5.57% of the capital and 5.04% of the voting rights.
The crossing of this threshold results from acquisitions of shares on the market and the increase of shares held as collateral. BlackRock now holds 45,238,907 shares of Société Générale on behalf of its clients and funds.
The shares will include, among others, American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), shares assimilated via contracts for differences (CFDs) and those held as collateral. Some shares are also included via loan-borrowing agreements. Note that an additional 5,626,451 shares are not included in this calculation, as clients retain their voting rights.
