BlackRock drops below 5% threshold of voting rights at Société Générale
On August 9, 2024, Société Générale announced that BlackRock, Inc. had crossed downwards the threshold of 5% of the voting rights of the French bank.
BlackRock, acting on behalf of its clients and management funds, now holds 43,576,345 shares in Société Générale. This represents 5.37% of the capital and 4.85% of the voting rights.
This threshold crossing, reported by letter on August 8, 2024, results from a sale of shares on the market and a reduction in shares held as collateral.
BlackRock's investment manager typically retains voting control unless clients request otherwise.
