BlackRock exceeds the threshold of 5% of voting rights at Société Générale
On August 28, 2024, BlackRock, Inc. crossed upwards the 5% threshold of Société Générale's voting rights, according to a statement received on August 29, 2024. The New York-based management company now holds 48,064,765 Société Générale shares, representing 5.92% of the capital and 5.35% of the voting rights.
BlackRock acts on behalf of clients and funds under its management. This crossing results from an acquisition of shares on and off market, as well as an increase in the number of shares held as collateral. BlackRock has the discretionary power to exercise voting rights, unless otherwise requested by clients.
For reference, the capital of Société Générale is composed of 812,035,548 shares, totaling 898,113,559 voting rights in the 2nd paragraph of article 223-11 of the general regulations.
