BlackRock reduces its stake in Orange

Asset management giant BlackRock, Inc. recently dropped below the 5% voting rights threshold at telecom operator Orange. According to a statement made on April 17, 2025, BlackRock now holds 150,926,407 shares, representing 5.67% of the capital but only 4.76% of the voting rights. This decrease is the result of a decline in shares held as collateral.
This situation was reported following the transaction on April 16, 2025. The shares include ADRs and are the result of arrangements such as CFDs and loan-to-borrow contracts. BlackRock also stated that it holds other shares on behalf of clients who retain their voting rights.
