Blue Elephant Energy Expands Dutch Portfolio by 88 MWp
Blue Elephant Energy GmbH, a Hamburg-based solar and wind farm operator, has expanded its footprint in the Netherlands with the acquisition of PV parks totaling approximately 88 MWp from TPSolar. The transaction, completed on 20 December 2024, includes three PV parks at various development stages across the country.
The largest of these, a 50 MWp installation in the north-east, is set to be operational by the end of 2025. Meanwhile, a 9 MWp project in the south is already grid-connected, and a 29 MWp park in the same region is expected to be commissioned by the second quarter of 2025. These projects are anticipated to reduce CO2 emissions by 48,830 tonnes annually, supporting the Netherlands' climate goals.
This acquisition increases Blue Elephant Energy's total capacity in the Netherlands to 717 MWp, contributing to a global portfolio of 1,730 MWp.
