Blue Scuti Secures Historic Recognition at CTWC 2024
My Arcade, renowned for its contributions to retro gaming, proudly announced that their sponsored player, Willis Gibson, also known as Blue Scuti, achieved remarkable success at the Classic Tetris World Championship (CTWC) 2024. The event took place in Pasadena, California, from June 7-9, 2024.
Gibson was honored as the top-ranked player in the qualifying round, showcasing exceptional skill and dedication. Moreover, he received special recognition from the Tetris company for becoming the first player in history to reach the infamous "kill screen" at level 157, causing the game to crash due to its original programming limitations. This feat, achieved in under 39 minutes, was accomplished on December 21, 2023, when Gibson was just 13 years old.
My Arcade expressed immense pride in Gibson's accomplishments. A company spokesperson highlighted his ability to push the boundaries of what is possible in Tetris, underscoring their ongoing support for the young prodigy. Gibson's success at CTWC 2024 cements his reputation as a leading figure in the Tetris community.
