BluSky Carbon's Joint Venture Expands with New Biochar Projects
BluSky Carbon Inc. has announced binding letters of intent for biochar production projects in Orlando, Florida, and Tanzania. These ventures, conducted under the BluMountain Carbon brand, aim to generate carbon credits and promote sustainable agriculture through biochar production. In Tanzania, BluMountain collaborates with Carbon Market Exchange Inc. using local biomass feedstock. BluMountain will retain a majority of profits, contingent on Carbon Market Exchange fulfilling its commitments. Meanwhile, in Orlando, the venture with Neutralizing Environmental Trash Inc. is structured as a 50/50 joint venture, leveraging local wood waste for biochar and carbon removal.
The Orlando project aims to remove 50,000 tonnes of carbon annually, contributing to soil enrichment and greenhouse gas reduction. BluSky's CEO, Will Hessert, highlighted the collaboration's potential for driving positive economic impacts and advancing carbon sequestration technologies. These projects represent an effort towards achieving global carbon neutrality, with biochar's utility gaining public recognition. BluSky intends to expand its partnerships to further these initiatives and explore new opportunities in the sector.
