BluWave-ai Certifies Leading EV Charger Brands for Smart Grid Interoperability
BluWave-ai has announced the certification of several leading manufacturers' EV chargers for OCPP 1.6 interoperability with its EV Everywhere™ and EV Fleet Orchestrator™ platforms. The certified brands include LG, ABB, Siemens, Grizzl-E, Wallbox, EV Duty, and Verde Mobility. Additionally, direct-to-car interoperability has been validated with 2019 and later Tesla models and InductEV's 300kW high power wireless charger.
The certification process, conducted at the BluWave-ai EV Flight Test Center, aims to expand the pool of consumer EV charging capacity, supporting the electrical grid by dynamically balancing system-wide demand with solar and wind energy output. This initiative is expected to enhance the utility of renewable energy in managing the electrical load required for EV charging, thus reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
Bill Pierce of EVInfo.net highlighted the potential benefits, noting that shifting energy use to charge EVs can utilize more renewable energy. Furthermore, BluWave-ai’s Senior Director of Engineering, Thomas Triplet, emphasized the importance of interoperable chargers in balancing renewable energy supply with EV demand.
