'Body of Water' Makes U.S. Debut at American Black Film Festival

Zoom Out Productions announced the U.S. premiere of "Body of Water," set for June 14 at O Cinema South Beach. This psychological thriller, directed by Terrisha "TK" Kearse, features a man challenging the forces that wronged him. The film highlights performances by David Wendell Boykins, Kiya Roberts, and newcomer Dallas Schaefer.

The film, lasting 103 minutes, was completed just before the industry strike last year. It recently won the Best Indie Feature Award at the 2024 World Film Festival Cannes. Director TK Kearse, who co-owns Zoom Out Productions, expressed her excitement and gratitude for the recognition from the American Black Film Festival.

This premiere marks a significant achievement for Zoom Out Productions, notably in an industry where women, especially Black and Brown women, seldom own production companies.
