Boliden Extends Involvement in Amarc's Duke Copper-Gold Project
Amarc Resources Ltd. announced that Boliden Mineral Canada Ltd. will continue its partnership in the Duke Copper-Gold District for another year with a $10 million budget set for 2025. Amarc will retain operational control of the project. Located in central British Columbia, the Duke District has undergone extensive drilling and surveys in 2024, setting up potential deposit testing in 2025.
Previously, Amarc expanded the Duke Deposit's boundaries and initiated testing of new exploration targets. The project is situated in a region known for its porphyry mineralization and former copper-gold mines. Since entering an agreement in 2022, Boliden has invested $20 million, with a target of $70 million more for up to 70% project ownership.
The joint efforts underline the district's significant potential. With access to local infrastructure, the continued exploration aims to capitalize on discoveries in one of BC’s rich mineral belts.
