BOOSTHEAT announces promising advances in cogeneration
BOOSTHEAT, a French company specializing in energy efficiency, recently published positive test results for its new hybrid compressor. This development marks a notable progression in the cogeneration sector. The Stirling mode tests validated the potential of this technology for the production of electricity from biogas, an initiative aligned with low-carbon practices.
During the testing phase conducted in March, the prototype demonstrated its ability to convert a thermal source into mechanical work, and therefore into electricity. This validation paves the way for future improvements and promises efficiency comparable to that of the best current micro-cogenerators. BOOSTHEAT also plans to exploit the modularity of this technology to offer dynamic energy management, adapted to fluctuations in demand.
The final phase of testing will aim to use biogas as a heat source, emphasizing the high efficiency of the compressor as a hybrid heat pump. These advances are accompanied by interest from potential partners, highlighting BOOSTHEAT's disruptive capacity in the field of methanization and opening prospects for future developments of optimized products.
