Bouygues Telecom Acquires La Poste Mobile and Forms Strategic Partnership
Bouygues Telecom has announced its acquisition of La Poste Telecom, a prominent mobile virtual network operator in France, from La Poste group and SFR. This acquisition brings approximately 2.4 million new mobile customers to Bouygues Telecom. Additionally, a new exclusive distribution deal has been established with La Poste group, enhancing Bouygues Telecom's presence in 7,000 post offices across France.
La Poste Telecom, led by Chairman Julien Tétu, will now operate as a subsidiary of Bouygues Telecom. The company employs 400 individuals and reported over €300 million in sales for 2023. This move underscores Bouygues Telecom’s ambition to grow in the B2C market, leveraging both its and La Poste's strong brand presence and customer loyalty.
Benoît Torloting, CEO of Bouygues Telecom, highlighted the strategic significance of this deal in enhancing the digital experience for La Poste Telecom's customers. By integrating La Poste Telecom, Bouygues Telecom aims to foster growth through combined expertise and a strong local distribution network.
