Boxwood Partners Advises on Key Franchise Acquisition

Boxwood Partners, a distinguished middle-market investment bank, has announced its role as the exclusive advisor in the acquisition of Panther Overhead Door, LLC by Impact Home Services. This transaction adds to Boxwood's portfolio, marking its fifth successful franchisee operation deal, with four pertaining to the Neighborly system in the past year.

Panther, a leading franchisee of Precision Garage Door Service, part of the expansive Neighborly community, was successfully sold to Impact Home Services. Impact, formed in 2021 by Shirin Kanji and later partnering with Eagle Merchant Partners in 2023, operates franchises across Mr. Rooter, Mr. Electric, and Precision Garage Door Service, demonstrating a strategic expansion within the home services sector.

The deal, whose terms remain undisclosed, was spearheaded by a dedicated team from Boxwood Partners including Brian Alas, Madison Day, John Atkinson, and Drew Asadorian. The acquisition underlines the value of strategic matches in optimizing market potentials, as acknowledged by both parties involved in the transaction.

Precision Garage Door Service, acquired by Neighborly in 2020, has seen significant growth, reinforcing its position as a leading name in the garage door service industry in the U.S. with over 100 locations nationwide. This deal further emphasizes the importance of lead generation, technology, inventory management, and talent acquisition in maintaining a competitive edge within the home services market.
