Calvert International AG Completes Acquisition of Emerging Energy Corporation AG

On April 22, 2024, Calvert International AG, a key player in the African energy sector, announced the acquisition of 100% of Emerging Energy Corporation AG's shares. Emerging Energy Corporation AG focuses on developing renewable energy solutions such as hydrogen, biogas, and decentralized solar energy within the African market.

Through this transaction, Calvert International AG aims to solidify its presence in the dynamic and growing renewable energy market in Africa. This acquisition is a strategic move intended to transform the company into the leading listed energy holding company in Africa. It was implemented as a non-cash capital increase, boosting Calvert’s share capital by 10 percent, from 1,000,000 to 1,100,000 euros.

Jessica Stang, the Head of Business Development at Calvert International AG, stated that this acquisition is only the beginning of further expansion plans to establish a robust holding company operating across the African continent.
