Cameron Ashley Building Products Expands with Acquisition of Appalachian Insulation Supply

Cameron Ashley Building Products has officially acquired Appalachian Insulation Supply, Inc. (AIS), including Wolf Pak Transport, LLC, marking a significant expansion of its distribution network. AIS, established in 1987 by Bill Brinser and a renowned distributor of Johns Manville insulation products, operates from nine warehouses across the Midwest and Eastern US. This move strategically enhances Cameron Ashley's stance as a dominant insulation distributor nationwide.

Donny DeMarie, President and CEO of Cameron Ashley, highlighted the acquisition as a continuation of AIS's legacy of excellence in customer service and supplier relations. The acquisition, contributing to Cameron Ashley's growth with 28 greenfield locations and five other acquisitions over the past five years, increases the company's distribution centers count to 65. DeMarie expressed excitement about entering new markets in Florida and Virginia and integrating AIS's employees, customers, and suppliers.

This acquisition underlines Cameron Ashley's commitment to broadening their service offerings with the Cameron Ashley Advantages program, promising enhanced customer experience through fast delivery, loyalty programs, and a more extensive product range.
