Camino Minerals and Nittetsu Launch Leaching Studies at Puquios Copper Project

Camino Minerals Corp, in partnership with Nittetsu Mining Co., Ltd., is initiating leaching studies in Tokyo to explore scalability opportunities for the Puquios Copper Project in Chile. The project plans to implement conventional sulphide leaching with SXEW technology, aiming for mine construction to begin in early 2026.

The companies are also seeking competitive debt financing to support the development of this copper mine. The ongoing exploration includes evaluating hypogene copper mineralization beneath the supergene zones, extending exploration with new samples sent to Nittetsu’s R&D facility for further analysis.

Camino and Nittetsu are committed to advancing copper extraction technologies to enhance production capabilities at Puquios. This collaboration marks a significant step in their strategy to expand copper production in Chile.
