Cannovum Cannabis AG: 'Cannabis for Germany', Sale of Fake Hemp in 1,000 Aldi Süd Stores Starts on 27 June
Starting on 27 June 2024, Cannovum Cannabis AG and its partners will sell fake hemp in 1,000 Aldi Süd stores for €2.99. This initiative, branded as "Scheinhanf - die legale Pflanze für Ihren Garten," aims to raise awareness about the legalization of recreational cannabis in Germany. The products will feature the logo of Anbau Allianz für Deutschland, a subsidiary of Cannovum Cannabis AG.
The campaign serves to increase Cannovum’s presence and promote social acceptance of cannabis as a recreational drug. From 1 July, cannabis clubs may apply for cultivation licenses, with Cannovum supporting them with products and services. The company will soon launch the first reference clubs to showcase sustainable and compliant cannabis cultivation.
CEO Klaus Madzia highlighted the collaboration with Aldi-Süd and Anbau Allianz, emphasizing the added value for cannabis legalization. Anbau Allianz partners from the German agricultural sector contributed to the product's development, ensuring high security and expertise.
The potential growth from legalizing recreational cannabis is substantial. Cannovum estimates that a single club could generate up to 2.4 million euros per year. Medium-term projections include several thousand clubs across Germany.
