Capelli and Sogeprom Develop an Advanced Ecological Data Center in Pessac

In collaboration with Sogeprom, the Capelli Group is launching a Data Center development project in Pessac, Bordeaux. Located in the Pessac Bersol activity zone, this new 8,000 m2 data center provides an output of more than 10 megawatts of IT. This project is part of the development of the Operation of Metropolitan Interest Bordeaux Inno Campus, which aims to establish an innovation center over 1,500 hectares.

The infrastructure proposed by Capelli stands out for its respect for the environment, integrating photovoltaic panels and an innovative cooling technique. The servers will be immersed in a biodegradable fluid, reducing electricity consumption by 80% and allowing excess heat to be recovered for district heating. This approach combines high technology and sustainability.

The site also provides an educational aspect with a pavilion open to the public and schools, highlighting Capelli's commitment to raising awareness of technology and ecology. The design of the building will promote harmonious integration with the environment, thanks to reflective facades and landscaping including the planting of more than 100 trees.
