Capgemini Celebrates Successful 11th Employee Share Ownership Plan
On November 27, 2024, Capgemini announced the success of its eleventh Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP). The plan saw participation from over 55,000 employees across 32 countries, surpassing previous years. This initiative reflects the employees' confidence in Capgemini's strategy and ambitions, according to CEO Aiman Ezzat.
This year's shareholding plan involved a capital increase representing 1.6% of the Group’s issued share capital, helping to maintain employee ownership around 8% at year-end. 2,700,000 new shares were subscribed at 153.66 euros each, which corresponds to 87.5% of the reference price of 175.61 euros.
The capital increase of 415 million euros is scheduled for December 19, 2024, without diluting existing shareholders. To support this, Capgemini bought back 2,700,000 shares at an average price of 175.68 euros, totaling 474 million euros.
