Carrefour Finalizes Sale of Italian Operations to NewPrinces Group
On December 1st, 2025, Carrefour announced the completion of its sale of all activities in Italy to the NewPrinces Group. This move follows the receipt of necessary regulatory approvals and fulfillment of standard closing conditions. As of November 30, 2025, Carrefour Italy is officially deconsolidated from the Carrefour Group's financial statements.
This divestment is part of Carrefour's broader strategic objectives. The Carrefour Group, a leading global food retailer, operates over 15,000 stores across more than 40 countries. In 2024, the group reported revenues of €94.6 billion.
