Casino terminates its guarantee for the benefit of GPA
The Paris Commercial Court approved an accelerated safeguard plan for Casino, Guichard-Perrachon on February 26, 2024. This plan cancels the unlimited guarantee granted to Companiha Brasileira de Distribuiçao (GPA). This guarantee was intended to compensate GPA for losses related to the amortization of goodwill following its acquisition by Casino.
On May 6, 2025, GPA announced that it had filed a claim with the ICC International Court of Arbitration to protect its rights. Casino reiterates in its Universal Registration Document that this guarantee is no longer in effect and states that it intends to defend its interests.
Casino has not yet made any contact with the CCI, according to its latest press release.
