Cedar Fort Releases New Book Countering "Mormon" Stereotypes
Cedar Fort Publishing & Media has launched "The Not-So-Secret Lives of REAL 'Mormon' Wives," a first-person account by eight Latter-day Saint women. Released shortly after Hulu/Disney's reality show "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," the book counters the show's portrayal of "Mormon" wives.
The authors include successful businesswomen and devout members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Co-author Fernanda Böhme, co-founder of a women's fashion brand, emphasizes their strong commitment to their faith in her chapter.
In response to the media portrayal of their community, the book aims to present a more accurate depiction of Latter-day Saint women. Emily Clark, the book's Developmental Editor, highlights their decision to offer an alternative narrative to popular media representations.
The book is available for both print and e-book purchase on the Cedar Fort website and Amazon. It serves as a tool to showcase the faith and daily lives of these women, aiming to attract readers unacquainted with Latter-day Saint culture.
