Centrotherm International AG Achieves Forecast Targets in 2023
Centrotherm International AG reported a successful financial performance for the year 2023, meeting its forecast targets. The company experienced a significant increase in EBITDA, which rose from EUR 16.2 million in 2022 to EUR 19.0 million. This growth reflects the company's successful expansion into the semiconductor industry.
Additionally, Centrotherm's order intake for 2023 matched the forecast, reaching EUR 268.8 million, with a substantial portion coming from the semiconductor sector. The order backlog also increased by 27.3% compared to the previous year, indicating strong future growth potential.
Despite a drop in total revenue from EUR 180.5 million in 2022 to EUR 151.2 million in 2023, the company's international business remained robust, largely supported by strong sales in Asia. Furthermore, revenue from service and spare parts saw a notable increase.
The total operating performance for the year was up significantly, despite not reaching the projected EUR 220 million to EUR 260 million range, primarily due to postponed customer projects.
Looking ahead to the 2024 financial year, Centrotherm anticipates continued positive performance across its sectors, supported by an encouraging industry environment, especially in semiconductor and microelectronics.
