CEO Markus Lesser to Depart from PNE AG in July
Markus Lesser, the CEO of leading clean energy solutions provider PNE AG, has announced his intention to resign from his position effective at the end of July 2024. The decision, prompted by personal reasons, will see Lesser stepping down as both a member and the Chairman of the Board of Management. PNE AG's Supervisory Board has acknowledged his resignation and is set to commence discussions for an early termination of his employment contract while seeking a suitable successor for the CEO role.
Per Hornung Pedersen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed regret over Lesser's decision but highlighted the significant growth and value increase PNE AG experienced under his leadership. Lesser's tenure saw the company evolve from a pure wind farm developer into a comprehensive clean energy solutions provider and an independent power producer. His strategic initiatives, including the successful implementation of the scale-up strategy and its expansion, Scale up 2.0, have greatly fortified PNE AG's business model and extended its project pipeline to 19 GW/GWp. The company now boasts an operational or under-construction wind farm portfolio of 650 MW.
